The event invites startups, universities, students and companies to exhibit their project among the 160 worldwide professionals. It&rsquo;s the perfect occasion to connect both universes, creating new development opportunities and diversifying the <\/span><b>international XR community<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> even more. In 2025, the event is offering you the chance to win a booth to show your innovation on April 9-11.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Five competitions to shine within the XR community <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Laval Virtual exhibition on VR\/AR, immersive technologies and the metaverse, created the competitions to draw attention to new talents and innovations. For over 25 years, researchers, students, developers and startups have been coming to show their vision of XR. With pioneering uses, avant-garde projects and groundbreaking experiences, competition participants have the opportunity to meet and talk with professionals from the <\/span><b>immersive field<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laval Virtual has five distinct competitions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>#Experiences:<\/strong> intended for content creators, developers and production studios, this category gives prominence to crosstech VR\/AR contents. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>#ReVolution:<\/strong> reserved for avant-garde projects, this category explores the boundaries of <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Virtual reality immerses the user, with a VR headset, in a 3D computer-generated virtual environment.&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/blog.laval-virtual.com\/en\/glossary\/virtual-reality\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>virtual reality<\/a> and reflects on the future uses of technologies. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>#StartUps:<\/strong> young companies introduce their innovation with the intention of revolutionizing the immersive field. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>#Students &ndash; Demo:<\/strong> students and schools exploring immersive technologies come to present their VR\/AR project and get feedback from professionals. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>#Students &ndash; Limited Time:<\/strong> a 30-hour technological hackathon where ten teams of international students compete to create the best 3D real-time application. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exhibit among the largest immersive companies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Holy Grail is an exhibition booth, in the middle of over 160 international XR exhibitors and experts. For those <\/span><b>emerging talents<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Laval Virtual competitions provide greater visibility among industry players. They are put on the spotlight for 3 days in a dedicated area. The goal is also to get direct feedback on the innovation they present. There are many commercial opportunities, and the Laval Virtual event is the perfect occasion to find clients and partners.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the selection phase, a jury picks the projects that will be exhibited on the show. Those selected will then have the chance to win a special prize, awarded at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/laval-virtual.com\/en\/attend-the-lv-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Laval Virtual Awards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ceremony<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Thursday, April 10. Among last year jury members, there were professionals from the academic and scientific field (Mark Billinghurst from South Australia University, Fr&eacute;d&eacute;rique Krupa from &Eacute;cole de Design de Nantes, Jayesh Pillai from Indian Technology Institute), XR experts (Julien Castet from Immersion, Frederic Siess from Ubisoft, Nathan Gaydhani from HTC) and large-scale corporate representatives (Morgan Bouchet from Orange, David Nahon from Dassault Syst&egrave;mes, Catherine Berenblit from EDF).
