Marine Rouit Leduc takes her audience on a <\/span><b>contemplative journey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through the colors of light. &ldquo;Chromaverse&rdquo; is part of the official selection for the Recto VRso <\/span><b>immersive art<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> festival, taking place on April 10-13, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Architecture designed for light<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Born into a family of creatives, with an architect father and a background in design, Marine Rouit Leduc has always been immersed in the<\/span><b> world of objects<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. After fifteen years dedicated to design and innovation, and the founding of her studio, Meaningful, she shifted her focus to virtual reality. Following a writing residency in Arles, she brought her latest project, &ldquo;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chromaverse&rdquo;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to life.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To her, virtual reality is a <\/span><b>gateway to new horizons<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, providing viewers with complete immersion in an alternate universe beyond the boundaries of the physical world. As a designer, she sees VR as a way to transcend physical and material limitations, enabling creation on an entirely unrestricted scale.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following extensive experimentation and prototyping, &ldquo;Chromaverse&rdquo; emerged from a desire to reveal the colors of light through the prism of architecture. At the crossroads of contemporary art, design and architecture, this digital artwork orchestrates<\/span><b> several theater and cinema sets<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one after the other, each revealing different aspects of colored light. In contrast to her approach as a designer, Marine Rouit Leduc wanted to put architecture <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.laval-virtual.com\/en\/artwork-what-is-like-to-be-recto-vrso-2025\/\">at the se<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.laval-virtual.com\/en\/artwork-what-is-like-to-be-recto-vrso-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">r<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.laval-virtual.com\/en\/artwork-what-is-like-to-be-recto-vrso-2025\/\">vice of light<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Chromaverse Trailer FR, Marine Rouit Leduc. It&rsquo;s an odyssey in four chapters, a journey from artificial to natural light, from an intimate space to a starry night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the start of the experience, the user sits in front of a screen showing the digital universe created by the artist-designer. They then switch from 2D to 3D by putting on a virtual reality headset. A mysterious disc guides the user through a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.laval-virtual.com\/en\/artwork-cybertime-capsule-recto-vrso-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poetic, dreamlike and contemplative experience<\/a>. &ldquo;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&rsquo;s like <\/span><i>exploring a hallucinated reality<\/i><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&rdquo; explains Marine Rouit Leduc.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through this artwork, the artist-designer seeks to explore the deep connection between colored light and architecture while transforming it into a <\/span><b>moment of introspection<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a singular experience. Virtual reality offers the freedom to craft a pure, unconstrained world beyond physical reality, where each participant shapes their own journey and personal interpretation. This medium&rsquo;s potential mirrors our perception of colors&mdash;both singular and diverse, yet always experienced differently by each individual. Similarly, no two users will perceive the same immersive experience in exactly the same way.<\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&ldquo;Chromaverse&rdquo; is the third step on Marine Rouit Leduc&rsquo;s path, following two exhibitions at Villa Savoye and Milan Design Week.
