We spoke to Gw&eacute;na&euml;l Qu&eacute;r&eacute;, 3D Business Manager, to discuss AGEIS&rsquo;s next ambitions and its participation in the Laval Virtual <\/span><b>VR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \/ <\/span><b>AR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> exhibition.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can you tell us more about your company?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AGEIS is a surveying firm with several areas of expertise in the fields of real estate, topography, condominiums, urban planning, the environment, VRD design\/execution, 3D scanner surveys, BIM modeling and <\/span><b>photogrammetry<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will you exhibit at Laval Virtual?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At its booth at Laval Virtual, AGEIS will be presenting a number of projects carried out in recent years, along with the technical solutions employed. The projects presented will focus mainly on the company&rsquo;s <\/span><b>3D division<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, i.e. mapping existing structures using 3D scanners, photogrammetry, BIM modeling and <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.laval-virtual.com\/en\/vee-the-project-that-brings-together-metaverse-and-aec\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">even 3D or VR immersion<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These projects have several objectives, ranging from the <\/span><b>visualization of technical constraints<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on a site for a neighborhood rehabilitation project, to precision scanning, to the implementation of a new industrial process, to immersion in a heritage site.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Are you planning any activities or demos at your booth? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several projects will be presented in different ways. Our 3D approach is first and foremost technical, with the modeling and visualization of constraints on renovation projects. This enables us to anticipate renovation issues as far as possible. It is also aesthetically oriented, thanks to immersions in heritage buildings, in order to conserve or renovate this heritage as best as possible. The project that took us several months to complete this year involved modeling a neighborhood in the Paris region, in order to provide the basis for a <\/span><b>complete rehabilitation of the area<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is your solution transforming your business field? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As far as the technical side of our business is concerned, we at AGEIS are convinced that most of the problems encountered today in the building or urban planning sector on renovation and rehabilitation sites are linked to the fact that we are unable to visualize and <\/span><b>anticipate certain technical constraints<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Our aim is to use our products to help you anticipate as many problems as possible and visualize them in three dimensions. The other part of our expertise enables us to preserve certain buildings that represent our country&rsquo;s heritage and history.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainability and the environment are key topics of this century. How do you cope with these concerns in your XR technologies?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our skills enable us to take a 3D snapshot at any given moment of the condition of the buildings and sites we measure. In recent years, these surveying methods have proved their <\/span><b>worth in terms of conservation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, notably with the restoration of Notre Dame de Paris, which, for its renovation, made partial use of 3D scanner surveys carried out in the final years before the fire.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AGEIS has always had an innovative environmental approach, focusing on <\/span><b>water management<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the design of housing estates over the last ten years.
