In the world of work and industry, developing and maintaining skills is a critical challenge for staying competitive. Immersive technologies have proven their value in learning and professional training. However, one of the biggest obstacles remains the deployment of XR solutions, which requires in-depth expertise and a substantial budget. iXiVERSE’s goal is to make immersive technologies more accessible for corporate training through an open-source solution. Its teams will be at the Laval Virtual 2026 exhibition. We sat down with Franck Douaud, Technical Director.
Can you tell us more about iXiVERSE and your daily missions?
iXiVERSE is a company specializing in XR guidance and immersive learning. Since 2021, we have been developing an open-source ecosystem that enables businesses and training organizations to easily integrate mixed reality into their daily operations. Our goal is to make XR technologies accessible, sustainable, and economically viable for the transfer of technical expertise.
Our ecosystem consists of three modules: iXiMAKER for creating XR content (available as a free open-source version); iXiWORK for delivering content on headsets (available as a free version); and iXiMANAGER for fleet management, deployment, and progress tracking.

At our booth, you’ll discover how mixed reality can be seamlessly and easily integrated into your work and training processes. Our specialists will be on hand to discuss your current challenges and support you in your projects.
We’ll offer demonstrations of real-world use cases, giving you hands-on experience with our tools. The goal is to let every visitor evaluate and test the effectiveness of our solutions in a real-world work setting.
What is the primary goal of the iXiVERSE teams?
Specifically, our goal is to address the practical challenges faced by companies and training organizations: providing on-the-job training at a lower cost while ensuring rapid and effective skill development. Our solution streamlines technical interventions while reducing errors, response times, and the risk of accidents.
Our innovation focuses on learning through trial and error and immersive experimentation, resulting in significantly better retention than traditional methods. With traditional methods, nearly 70% of information can be forgotten in less than 24 hours, and nearly 90% in just a few weeks, whereas immersive approaches allow for the retention of 75 to 80% of the knowledge.
