The term CAVE is an acronym for Cave Automatic Virtual Environment. It is a virtual reality immersion system based on video projection on walls, floors and ceilings, to create an immersive virtual environment. To interact with the projected images, users are equipped with stereoscopic glasses. Compared to a VR headset, the CAVE technology allows freedom of movement and simplified collaboration.
