The 7th edition of the Recto VRso festival, organized by Laval Virtual, will take place on April 11-14. About twenty international artists are coming to present their artworks on the them “Real Time / Virtual Time” in the Art & VR Gallery. If, depending on the context, “real” time can have several definitions, how can we define “virtual time”? The artworks selected invite us to explore these issues using virtual, augmented and mixed reality, immersive devices, interactive interfaces, robotics, multi-dimensional spatialisation, presence effects, and so on.

A “Research & Creation” laboratory to promote artistic diversity
Alongside the exhibition, Recto VRso is setting up a “Research & Creation” Laboratory to promote artistic diversity by inviting established artists, students, researchers and collectives to take over different areas of Le Quarante. Educational projects from universities and schools of digital creation, guest curators, collectives, pioneering and emerging artists. TALM Le Mans, Montpellier 3 University, Paris 8 University, Rennes 2 University, etc. will all be present. A truly experimental springboard for the emergence of new artistic forms.
New this year, Recto VRso is being extended over the weekend with the “Xtended” section, inviting visitors to explore the digital world through fun and immersive experiences.
