After the success of the first edition during the last Laval Virtual exhibition, the Tech Talks are back in 2025. These sharing sessions connect suppliers and developers with the 5,500 visitors of Europe’s biggest VR/AR event. These two-day conferences are for anyone who wishes to develop their approach and their understanding of immersive technologies. Attend on April 9-10, 2025.
VR/AR use cases and demonstrations
Tech Talks sessions include use cases and masterclasses. Each speaker is presenting a product already or soon to be on the market, and makes a demo in front of the audience. It’s a concrete opportunity to identify the different uses of a hardware or software, to understand their applications and to discover the possibilities of employment in the business world.
Topics and technologies discussed are varied, from artificial intelligence to augmented reality, but also spatial computing and volumetric video. During the 2024 edition, Maxime Vidal from Shaping Reality made a presentation about the usage of Generative AI in AR experiences. In addition, Daniel Sproll, CEO of Realities.io, shared his experience by explaining how his team launched a Meta Quest game on the new Apple Vision Pro.
Among last year’s speakers, there were directors, engineers, developers and XR strategist (the 2025 application call is open to submit a presentation). It’s the best way to meet VR/AR experts and feed on their skills. Thanks to their intimate setting, compared to conferences, the Tech Talks are a wonderful occasion to network and meet with the speakers and the professionals who are coming to find inspiration in new technologies.
A first edition crowned with success
“We launched this Tech Talks format following strong demand from the XR community”, explains Alexandre Bouchet, CEO of Laval Virtual association and organizer of the eponym event. In 2024, over 300 curious visitors attended the first edition while exploring the aisles of the exhibition. They had access to 9 sessions spread over two days of conferences. “We’re extremely pleased with the success of these sessions, which focus more on technical aspects. In 2025, we’re developing this format to welcome an even wider audience!”
The Tech Talks are for the professionals who want to better apprehend immersive technologies and integrate them in their business methods. As a Developer or a Product Manager, you can be inspired by these technical sessions. The Tech Talks take place on April 9-10, as part of the Laval Virtual event, within the exhibition area which brings together over 160 international VR/AR companies. It’s the occasion to meet developers and technology suppliers, here to present their solutions and share their technical expertise. All the sessions are accessible with a Full Pass, a Club Pass or a Student Pass.
