In a sector such as immersive technologies, innovation is constant. Hardware manufacturers release new products every year. At the same time, it is difficult for companies, especially small ones, to equip themselves for the long term, particularly for budgetary reasons. Companies such as IDEM can change the game by offering immersive equipment rentals. We spoke with David Marty, Director of Operations, who introduced us to his company’s business, which has been present at the Laval Virtual trade show for several years.
Can you tell us more about IDEM and its activities?
IDEM has been in business for over 30 years and has established itself as a leading player in the short-term IT equipment rental sector. At the same time, we manage demo pools on behalf of major computer manufacturers, enabling them to present and test their innovations with their customers and partners. In addition, we are currently developing a rental offering specifically geared towards event organizers, providing them with a range of tailored products.
Today, we are one of the leaders in short-term VR and IT equipment rental, particularly because we have a large capacity in terms of the quantities of products available and we can deliver and collect anywhere in France and Europe.
You have been a loyal exhibitor to the Laval Virtual event for several years now. What do you plan to offer visitors this year?
We will focus our new presence at the Laval Virtual event on our short-term virtual reality headset rental solutions. We offer rentals starting from one day and one unit up to longer periods of up to 8 months or more with dozens or even hundreds of products.
Our product range also includes laptops and central processing units equipped with high-performance graphics cards, as well as tablets, office laptops, printers, monitors, and much more.
