ReVolution competitions highlight emerging VR/AR talent.

During the 25th edition of the international event on immersive technologies, Laval Virtual, many innovations will be presented. Among them, a selection of emerging immersive projects will be grouped together in the same pavilion. Discover the selection of the 2023 ReVolution competitions.
Revealing emerging VR/AR talents
Since the creation of the event in 1999, Laval Virtual’s mission is to promote virtual and augmented reality and its creators. Through the ReVolution competitions, Laval Virtual highlights pioneer XR uses. Every year, the “ReVolution” pavilion is the most avant-gardist area of the exhibition.
The ReVolution competitions present projects in 4 categories :
- ReVolution #Research: for university research projects
- ReVolution #Startups: for young technological companies
- ReVolution #Experiences: for production studios of immersive contents
- ReVolution #Students: for schools and students
To support those young VR/AR talents, Laval Virtual offers an exhibition space to all the selected projects. Therefore they are in contact with the biggest companies of the sector and with international experts who can try their solutions and give them feedback. This year, over 200 projects applied and 48 projects were selected to take part in this anniversary edition.
An eclectic and international selection
As every year, Laval Virtual is proud to show solutions coming from all over the world. The 2023 selected come from France, Brazil, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Japan, Taiwan, The Netherlands and elsewhere. The ReVolution competitions are a panorama of XR innovation around the world.
Visitors will be able to travel through monuments and time; play as real or imaginary characters; try out futuristic Social VR experiences; test cutting-edge experimental hardware; relax or play. In short, the topics addressed by the selected are varied. The #Research category promises the most disconcerting experiences.
All selected from ReVolution competitions have an exhibition booth during the professional days on April 12-14, 2023. In addition to this opportunity of international visibility, they are in the race to win a Laval Virtual Awards in their category. The Laval Virtual Awards ceremony takes place on Thursday, April 13, 2023 and is accessible for Full Pass owners only.
