How Synergiz Plans to Accelerate the Creation of XR Experiences

Synergiz veut offrir un trempli pour faciliter la création d'expériences XR

Synergiz aims to provide a platform to facilitate the creation of experiences in the XR sector.

In the world of XR, innovations are coming thick and fast, especially when it comes to hardware. Hardware manufacturers are constantly releasing new products that make the previous version obsolete. However, the immersive sector faces other challenges, particularly when it comes to creating XR experiences. Synergiz has been operating in the virtual reality industry for 15 years and is well aware of the difficulties users face. Philippe Joubert, President and CEO, explains how his company now aims to provide a platform to facilitate creation in the immersive sector.

How is Synergiz contributing to the XR industry?

Synergiz helps companies design and deploy XR experiences. Over the past 15 years, Synergiz has developed comprehensive expertise across the entire XR value chain: assessing client needs, recommending the most suitable display devices, selecting software suites (Synergiz or partners), integrating solutions into the company’s information system, developing custom solutions, operating a 3D studio, providing user training, and offering support.

What are you bringing with you to Laval Virtual?

Synergiz will showcase new XR devices from its partners, as well as the latest updates to the Synergiz Harbor software suite, which make it easier to create XR experiences using existing content.

At our booth, there will be demonstrations of new partner XR devices, as well as demos of how to create XR experiences from existing content. Visitors will, of course, be able to try out XR experiences.

You’ve been in the immersive industry for 15 years. What is the biggest challenge facing the sector today?

Although display devices (see-through and pass-through headsets, glasses, etc.) and available software platforms (Android XR, Synergiz Harbor, etc.) enable the creation and rendering of high-quality XR experiences, creating these experiences remains challenging, which limits their widespread deployment.

The main obstacle to the widespread adoption of XR is the difficulty of converting existing experiences into XR experiences—both in terms of adapting procedures and creating digital twins of physical objects. In addition to Harbor, its software solution for creating XR experiences, Synergiz has developed methods to accelerate the conversion of experiences into XR.
