Founded in the Netherlands in 2014, Manus is a company specialized in hand motion capture applied to virtual reality experiences. Known for its haptic gloves, Manus extended its expertise and developed solutions for movement tracking. Data that are collected are then shared with the research field to imagine even more innovative products. Manus is exhibiting at Laval Virtual event on April 9-11, 2025.
Can you tell us more about your company?
For 10 years, we have been bringing a real revolution in motion capture of hands and data that result from it. Whether it’s in entertainment, virtual reality or robotics, we have contributed for a better understanding of hand movements and the research around it.
What will you exhibit at Laval Virtual?
We are thrilled to present our Metagloves Pro which is the latest revolution in terms of precision for capturing hand data.
Are you planning any activities or demos at your booth?
We invite everyone to come and try our Metaglove Pro on Immersion’s booth and see how far simulation in virtual reality can go in terms of immersion.
What is your company’s current innovation?
We want to understand what data the Research and University fields are looking for. Our mission is to build the tools that enable us to collect them. We guide our approach towards selling data more than selling gloves.
How is your solution transforming your business field?
Our gloves are used in the biggest video games studios to capture the movement of hands with exceptional precision and offer a digital reproduction as faithful as possible. The same process is also used by humanoid robot manufacturers in order to teach machines fingers joints. Finally, we have guided many companies in the development of simulation for group military training in virtual reality.
Sustainability and the environment are key topics of this century. How do you cope with these concerns in your XR technologies?
By collaborating with ESI or Siemens, we help industry leaders visualize their creations in order to enable them to optimize processes and use ressources.
