Since its creation, XRelerateVR has been focusing on one goal: improve locomotion in immersive experiences. It created a one-of-a-kind omnidirectional treadmill. With this treadmill, moving in virtual reality has never been that easy and natural. The company also addresses another problem of VR which is motion sickness, by reducing the risks of feeling dizzy in virtual reality. We’re tackling one of VR’s biggest challenges – locomotion – with our groundbreaking omnidirectional treadmill that significantly enhances the gaming and training experience, while also combating motion sickness.
What will you exhibit at Laval Virtual?
We will showcase the newest version of our omnidirectional VR treadmill. At our booth, we will offer the opportunity to demo the latest version of our omnidirectional VR treadmill.
What is your company’s current innovation?
Our treadmill provides the most realistic movement sensation, while also transmitting the user’s movements to VR with the highest accuracy.
How is your solution transforming your business field?
One of the biggest barriers in VR today is the reliance on joysticks for locomotion, like we’re still on some flat screen console. This not only limits the level of immersion, but is also the main cause for motion sickness. It was long overdue that someone provides a solution for natural movement in VR, so that the teleportation of your own body to the virtual world finally feels complete.
Sustainability and the environment are key topics of this century. How do you cope with these concerns in your XR technologies?
In comparison to other solutions, our platform has a much longer lifetime and doesn’t create any microplastic abrasions.
