Laval Virtual and Ouest France organizes a unique event in France about ethics linked with technologies.

Laval Virtual and Ouest France partners to organize E-thique, the first Convention of Ethics and Future Technologies. The event is held at the Théâtre de Laval (Mayenne, France) and online in the Laval Virtual World on Tuesday 6th July 2021. It will take place a day before the Laval Virtual exhibition on virtual and augmented reality from 7th to 9th July.
A unique event in France
E-thique – the Convention of Ethics and Future Technologies is an exclusive event in France. The event is offered by Ouest France, leading French and francophone daily newspaper, and Laval Virtual, association organizing for more than 20 years the international exhibition on virtual and augmented reality in Laval.
E-thique is a day of debates and reflection about using future technologies and their ethical impact. The Théâtre de Laval will welcome conferences, debates and roundtables, with a broadcast of the event in the Laval Virtual World.
A time-oriented theme
On July 6th, the theme of this first edition is: “Is controling time a good idea?“. Artificial intelligence, time travel, technological acceleration are on the programme.
Among the expected speakers, Cédric Villani, mathematician and politician, Etienne Klein, quantum physics specialist, Eric Salobir, ethics advisor at the Vatican, as well as Owen Simonin, CEO of Just Mining and blockhain & crypto entrepreneur ; confirmed, among others, their participation.
