A true jack-of-all-trades in virtual reality, Inod Solutions has created three distinct solutions and brands to meet the needs of professionals. Convinced that virtual reality represents the future, the Inod team designs software and hardware to boost companies’ communication and show them the potential of these technologies. Inod Solutions will be exhibiting at Laval Virtual from April 12 to 14, 2023 at booth A73. Interview with Anthony Hacques, co-manager of the company.

Can you introduce your company?

Inod Solutions is a company specialized in the creation of tailor-made virtual reality solutions for professionals. Our personalized immersive experiences allow our clients to communicate with their public in an innovative and efficient way.

Our first brand, Inod Studio, is a creation studio offering virtual reality experiences from virtual fairs to 360-degree video/photo, but also serious games and online 3D configurators. We work in close collaboration with our clients to understand their needs and conceive virtual reality solutions that meet their expectations. Our team of experienced creators and developers are passionate by innovation and technology and determined to provide the best experiences possible to our clients.

Our second brand, ScaleView, is a virtual reality software which with you can present, enrich and sell in 3D a model made from a business software like Sketchup, Solidworks, and more. ScaleView offers an immersive and interactive experience for clients and prospects who want to explore and interact with their project in 3D in a virtual environment, allowing them to better understand and visualize their final product or project.

Finally, our third brand, MaValiseVR, is a supplier of suitcases to carry VR hardware like VR headset, controllers, PC, etc. We conceived these suitcases to answer the needs of professionals who have to travel with their virtual reality equipment to presentations or events. The suitcases are solid, light and compact, thus they are easy to carry and they efficiently protect the equipment.

At Inod Solutions, we are convinced that virtual reality is the future of communication, of product, services and project presentation, and we are happy to bring our expertise to our clients to help them make good use of this innovative technology.

What will your company show at Laval Virtual 2023?

Our idea is to show a booth that can only be seen with a virtual reality headset or on a tablet and smartphone in augmented reality.

Laval Virtual is celebrating its 25th edition this year. Do you have any memories to share since the first edition in 1999?

Our best memory is of course the ‘Marketing & Sales’ Laval Virtual Award we won in 2019 for a InodView software, now called ScaleView.

The world of immersive tech was shaken up by the rise of the Metaverse and virtual worlds. What is your opinion on these?

The concept of “metaverse” is not purely theoretical, but it’s constantly evolving. It’s possible to reach a connected environment between different platforms, however the way it will work is still hypothetical. We know how to make individual virtual worlds work, but we don’t know yet how a unique and connected virtual world will work. Existing solutions, such as Soundbox, Roblox, Decentraland, Fortnite and Meta Horizon, already seem like the metaverse. And the frontiers of the metaverse are porous because there are multiple access points. Despite the presence of existing solutions, there is still a challenge to rise to: the adoption of the metaverse by users, because it’s not yet considered as of common use.

How do you see the VR world in 10 years?

I am convinced that the virtual reality industry will experience significant growth in the next 10 years, with the emergence of new technologies and the progressive adoption of virtual reality by consumers and the business world.

I think the BtoB demand for virtual reality will experience a strong increase in the coming years, because companies are starting to realize the advantages of virtual reality for training, product visualization, long-distance collaboration and client experience. We will see more and more companies investing in virtual reality to improve their processes and results.
