QBranch intends to reconcile the real and the virtual. The company offers creation and design services around virtual reality and robotics. The fields of application are many: training projects, design of video games or artistic or industrial projects. QBranch will be exhibiting at Laval Virtual on April 12-14, 2023 on booth A60. Interview with Lauriane Cauchon, General Manager.
Can you present your company?
QBranch is positioned at the border of the virtual and the real. When the virtual needs the real. Specialized in tracking and immersive technologies as well as an expertise in electronics, mechanics and embedded technologies. The company has developed its know-how around Virtual and Augmented Reality, 3D Computer Graphics and especially Robotics. This is to develop products and services for industry, entertainment and events.
What will you exhibit at Laval Virtual 2023?
You will be able to visit the QBranch showroom which gathers its various creations via an innovative immersive system: robotics, connected objects, Virtual/Augmented/Extended Reality (VR/AR/XR). A large-scale collaborative experience mixing tangible objects and multi-platform. The tangible objects will be presented on the booth and you will be able to appreciate their real-time tracking quality, their robustness and their level of integration optimized for both the real and the virtual.
Coupled with tangible technologies, robotics and force feedback systems, QBranch is able to combine real and virtual for a unique experience. All domains are possible: business risk training, gaming experience, events, etc.
Laval Virtual is celebrating its 25th edition this year. Do you have any memories to share since the first edition in 1999?
This will be the very first exhibition for QBranch! On the other hand, we are used to this event which marked our years of study and discovery of Virtual Reality. The memories are many, but if we had to select one, it would be the implementation of our robotics technologies that allowed us to transcribe live, in the Laval Virtual World, moments of the 2021 exhibition. A great moment for the exhibition’s return.
The world of immersive tech was shaken up by the rise of the Metaverse and virtual worlds. What is your opinion on these?
We are necessarily very attentive to the releases of the various VR devices and their evolutions. The democratization of all these devices, whether real or virtual, will make them accessible and will create new opportunities that we look forward to!
How do you see the VR world in 10 years?
We are mainly positioned on the B2B sector. Research labs, luxury goods, training organizations, and even the health sector. It is clear to us that the Virtual Reality market attracts and will continue to fascinate for many years. QBranch has positioned itself at the frontier of the real and the virtual to consolidate this growth and improve the ergonomics and immersion of these virtual worlds. We are convinced that with more reliable immersion devices that are closer to what we know in everyday life, virtual reality will become more and more popular.
