French actor of virtual reality training since 2017, Uptale has been specializing in immersive learning for employees and students. Training is one of the most flourishing fields when it comes to developing and using virtual reality in the business world. Uptale sees in VR an opportunity to better train people, in a more concrete and autonomous way. Uptale is exhibiting at Laval Virtual on April 12-14, 2023 on booth A54. Interview with Dwayne Iserief, one of the co-founders of Uptale.

Can you tell us more about your company?

Uptale developed an Immersive Learning platform to create immersive training modules from 360-degree photographs and videos, without having any preliminary training or technical knowledge.

With the solution, any organization can digitize its environments and know-how into 360-degree immersive experiences that are also educational and interactive. Employees can instantly teleport and train in real situations without constraints and risks.

Created in 2017, Uptale is now helping more than 200 clients such as Stellantis, Alstom, Sephora, L’Oréal, Schneider Electric, Suez, Total, Allianz and Orange to develop the practice of immersive learning on a large-scale in complete autonomy.

What will you exhibit at Laval Virtual 2023?

At our booth, Uptale will show demos to immerse yourself at the heart of the field. Train your operational teams, prep your new employees for any situation, deploy your production, quality and security standards with an incomparable rapidity and scope.

You can interact thanks to vocal recognition or 3D objects manipulation. Discover the platform and its many features to give a playful and gamified dimension to your immersive training sessions.

Laval Virtual is celebrating its 25th edition this year. Do you have any memories to share since the first edition in 1999?

We have been participating in Laval Virtual for several years and we are always astonished and amazed in front of that many innovations and uses of immersive technologies. It’s the best event to discover the latest trends and applications!

The world of technologies have been transformed with virtual worlds and the Metaverse rising. What are your opinions about these new phenomena?

The Metaverse is full of promises. As an actor of virtual reality, we can see its strong potential. We are getting closer and closer to virtual worlds but we must remain realistic about the real uses and deployments in the business and education worlds. Solutions like Uptale’s that are multi-devices, no-code, online and accessible to all will allow to build a bridge between the existing (Digital Learning) and the future (Immersive Learning and Metaverse).

How do you see the VR field in 10 years?

In the future, every employee will be able to project himself in his work environment before actually going to work. Each collaborator will learn his job independently and evaluate himself anywhere without having to travel. Every student will choose his orientation but putting himself in the shoes of a professional. According to us, every company will offer its employees to immerse themselves in any work situation. And they will have the means to create contents and get immersive technologies equipment because they will become more accessible. Technology is becoming a BtoB must-have
