Founded in 2012, VR Expert is Europe’s leading supplier of VR/AR hardware, and is present worldwide and particularly in Europe. At Laval Virtual, the company will present the education section of its activity, especially its VR Education Kit whose objective is to make learning more interactive and engaging. Interview with Franck Babouram, Sales Manager France at VR Expert. Meet the whole team on April 9-11, 2025.

Can you tell us more about your company?

Founded in 2012, VR Expert is a European supplier of VR/AR content and hardware. We are specialized in distributing and integrating VR and AR solutions for companies. We are present in Europe and globally, especially in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Poland and USA. We offer a complete service from consulting to hardware installation, plus headsets configuration, international logistic and technical support. We make it a point of honor to guarantee personalized support and flawless delivery. To facilitate adoption of technologies, we also provide a complete knowledge base, with guides available in local language.

What will you exhibit at Laval Virtual?

During Laval Virtual, we will present a selection of our VR headsets and hardware solutions, alongside preinstalled immersive contents. Meta Quest and Pico headsets will be on display, that you can personalize with your identity, all that in a compact flight case. This presentation enables visitors to concretely discover our ready-to-use approach of VR hardware, like we offer it to our professional clients.

Are you planning any activities or demos at your booth?

Yes, we will offer several demonstrations. Visitors can test a selection of immersive experiences with available headsets on our booth, for example educational content such as Body Swap. The objective is to illustrate the diversity of possible uses in virtual reality, whether it’s for training, workshops or education. Thanks to our router and tablet configuration, we can simulate client services like in real life.

What is your company’s current project?

Currently, our key project is the VR educational Kit, a complete solution for schools and high schools. This kit provides VR headsets (Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise or Meta Quest 3S), a router, a management tablet, as well as over 250 educational contents on 10 disciplines. It’s preinstalled and ready to use when you receive it. The objective is to make teaching more engaging and efficient thanks to VR, while facilitating the pedagogical integration with localised lesson plans and supports. It’s true progress in terms of democratization of virtual reality in the education world.

How is your solution transforming your business field?

We are evolving in the field of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). Our role is to make technology accessible, easy to use and adapted to the concrete needs of professionals. For example, our VR educational Kit is transforming traditional teaching by offering students a more engaging and interactive way to learn. The first feedback shows a learning process 4 times faster and a focus 1,5 times bigger in comparison to a classic lesson, according to PWC.

In the domain of professional training, we also provide VR equipment for medical or industrial simulations, in order to develop new skills safely and efficiently. Our mission is to help companies take advantage of VR/AR to create experiences with strong added value, with a turnkey service and complete support.

Sustainability and the environment are key topics of this century. How do you cope with these concerns in your XR technologies?

At VR Expert, we are convinced that immersive technologies can play a positive role in the transition for a better future. Although virtual reality is a digital technology, its potential to reduce environmental impact in certain fields is real. For example, using VR for training or immersive tours avoid energy-cost physical travels, like business travels or historical tours abroad. It not only reduces CO₂ emissions, but also saves time and optimizes ressources.

We also make it a point of honor to extend the lifespan of our equipment: our headsets are maintained, reconditioned and reused as part of our rental services, which avoids useless consumption. Moreover, we advise our clients on the most adapted solutions for their real needs, in order to avoid unnecessary purchases. Our vision is that XR technologies can become a lever for a more responsible future. By focusing on long-term impact for our solutions, we are contributing, at our scale, to a more sustainable usage of technology.
